i'm really into nice ambient instrumentals and i finally found a download to the beasts of the southern wild ost which is super inspiring *__*

i can't listen to music while writing, i find it influences me too much. sometimes i will turn on the classical or jazz stations on Spotify? but it's rare.

ahhhh yeah that makes sense! sometimes i randomly start emoting from the music which given the day might help or hinder me lol

they're a lot more, like, band-y than something like explosions in the sky and there's something i enjoy about that for writing.

nothing in particular, but i do like listening to rock. most of the time, i find a specific song and make it the theme song of my fic, and i just keep the song on loop. lol.

yes i have done this before too! i suppose it changes depending on the tone of the fic i'm writing, ie if it's crack or action or something then i need an upbeat backtrack to write to

true! and then when you listen to the song after a while, you'll remember the fic that you wrote and you won't be able to get it out of your head. lol.

y to the second part of your comment! if i find a song that fits perfectly with the tone and theme of my fic, then i'll loop it for hours and just write to it
