wow, i'm actually going through my older stuff and realizing it's quite good. i like this feeling and it's like writing needs to be treated like fine wine
i found some writing i forgot about in an old journal the other day and i was surprised that i didn't hate it :) but then it made me wonder if i've been getting progressively worse since then ;_;
can you imagine losing one of your best friends when you're not even old enough to understand that death is a part of life and all that jazz? it was confusing and sad enough for me when i lost my great grandma when i was 6 or 7... and you learn to accept it because "she was old. people die when they're old."
but losing a peer when you can't even use the toaster bc it's too dangerous and you're too small? i can't imagine how these kids will look at relationships in the future, both romances and friendships. does it predispose them to cherishing relationships or will it make them scared of forming emotional connections? the psychology of this event is difficult
'a few months down the line people are going to be kpopkins. there are going to be people writing in their about-me’s that they were Key in their past life and have uncontrollable urges to wear hideous prints listen to rihanna and suck huge amounts of dick, yup, this is going to happen, this is going to be a thing.'
i don't understand why livejournal is so shitty. it's just a website with txt,gifs,jpgs,and embedded youtube videos. how hard can that be to maintain!?
it's political, and it has to do with lj in russia. for us it's just a site where we post youtube videos and pictures and fanfic, but it's the most popular blogging platform of all in russia (i think the words for "livejournal" and "blog" are synonymous in russia), and a lot of lj downtime has been directly linked to attacks on specific political-dissident russian blogs:
http://archiveofourown.org/works/562365?view_adult=true that one where gd buys t.o.p high heels. i've only skimmed their other work but it seems like it'd also be good
anons, we should make an attempt to get authors to either make mirror journals on dw or to move to dw entirely. let's start a campaign or something to get everyone to move. ;~;
