no, it's not their environment alone, it's their career choices, their ambitions, their personalities (to me). they might have for all i know, but if i really think about it, i'm not too convinced, they're just too aware of what it looks like and how to profit off of it.

this is fanservice ofc but if either one of them really likes men i'm sure they'd act on it because the entertainment industry is often more openminded

that's a pretty big generalization there, anon. but anyway, yes, it's possible. in how i read them, i wouldn't count on it, but of course, i could be wrong.

well obviously they're aware that shipping themselves makes the fans happy, lol. that's idol 101. ofc it's hard to completely separate what is real and what is getting played up for the sake of fanservice. however, i still think that *if* they wanted to or have pursued something further with each other, they would know both how to market their relationship and how to keep it private enough that they don't get found out.

but w/e w/e, not like we'll ever know lmao. i'm just happy that they give me enough material to ship away like crazy.

of course they could but neither of them seem like they would prioritize love over shinee? idk, it seems so unlikely to me because shinee are such robots when it comes to the mothership. also jonghyun so loves girls but who knows? they're cute though, and i love seeing them interact so i'm happy too~

lol true, shinee are perfect robots, but they all seem very adapt at separating their personal and private lives. i think they're able to compartmentalize what is professional and what is private. also i believe that jonghyun loves just about everything that moves, lol.

but i think it also helps that they're basically very vanilla people? and true, jonghyun has always been hands on about his affection for people.

i wouldn't describe either of them as vanilla, especially key. in fact, key has spoken about how badly he wants to stand out.

key's desire for individuality doesn't seem grounded or mature at all to me, tbh. i love him but it seems flashy and conformist and kind of elitist. who knows, maybe he's not like that but he comes across as such a culture vulture.

just gotta say that i disagree, anon. i do think that he partly does it for attention, though.

do you mind elaborating? i could be reading him wrong.

key's an irrelevant idol without the talent or looks or entertainment value to stand out in his group or among the other idols. he prides himself on his ~individuality partly because he can't get a strong idol persona in other ways. it's not that mature but there are worse things. flashy clothes are a better way to feel good about yourself than plastic surgery and he genuinely loves fashion. his tastes in culture are pretty mainstream and not elitist but i think he does feel superior about his way of thinking
