if it was a sincere apology and not a bullshit "i'm sorry you were offended" apology, then i'd take that gesture into account. it depends on what they did, too, and the severity of their problematic words or actions, as well as cultural context (cultural context doesn't magically absolve someone of their transgressions, of course, but i think it's really easy for calling out shit to snowball into picking apart every little thing and completely disregarding the context).
