gd has donated clothes to a charity auction, money to a children's hospital(has also had money donated in his name by fans). he visited and spent time with that little boy who was/is sick who has the same name as him. gave him toys too.
seungri donated 100 sacks of rice to his hometown, gwangju(and is said to do so every year from now on). notably, he runs an academy to train idols. people might see that more as a business investment but i honestly think he means it when he says he does it for the good of it.
daesung does a lot of chruch volunteering. he basically lived at the church and helped volunteer during his "scandal" in 2011. I feel that his trying to make amends with the family of the deceased was admirable.
also there was a little girl who was very sick and she was a huge daesung fan. when daesung heard he visited her in the hospital numerous times. the rest of big bang also made time to visit her. they gave her signed cds and took pictures and even promised her a vip ticket for big show 2011. sadly, she died before the concert.
this is all off the top of my head, any bb anons wanna chip in?
Top holding up a railing so that fans don't get injured during big show 2011 is probably my fave bit of fanservice ever. He constantly kept an eye on them after the railing was fixed as well, telling them to move back and not push.
That fan account of him being asked by a chubby fan to sign an autograph and write that she should lose weight but him writing "you're pretty" instead is also sweet.
And as a group, bigbang donate part of the proceeds of all their concerts. This year's alive tour donation is to the UNICEF vaccination programme. Essentially, every person who bought a ticket paid for the vaccination of one child.
They've all done charitable auctions, photoshoots for various charities etc.
Also, any time you buy anything yg, merchandise, CDs etc., a part of that money goes to yg's with programme that Sean oversees. They donate that money at the end of the year.
Idk if Sean is or was ever considered an idol, but that man is an inspiration.
Oh and top's solo “oh mom"is written for and meant to inspire a very sick fan, who wrote to him about her illness.
Bigbang's unofficial fan anthem "until whenever" was written by gd for the fans but never released for purchase since they didn't want to make money off a song meant for the fans. It plays over the end credits of one of their concert DVD (global warning tour?)
