all i can think of is when dongwan said you never ever hit girls on shinhwa broadcast and when hyunjoong was asked what should women do to prevent being attacked and he said that it's the men who need to stop
yunho's everything u_u secretly volunteering at orphanages during his 3 day break (the first in years), always acting as a mentor to rookie groups, refusing to sue (or even name) the girl who tried to poison and kill him, the list goes on and on
ryeowook's transgendered friend gives me hope sungmin volunteering at the same charity as his mum (and some fans) since he was young and it was only found out through a few fans years later
also, sungmin being all 'you don't need to lose weight! as long as you're happy, it's okay. you're not an idol so you shouldn't push yourself too hard' when someone asked on sukira how she should lose weight. i think it's especially nice considering how shit his own self-esteem is and how he's constantly 'i'm fat, i'm sorry i'll lose weight'
"I heard about my role later. I personally didn’t have any bias or prejudice against homosexuality so I wasn’t really pressured about that. But my company director was a bit concerned. People around me were worried that my image would be negatively affected. But I said that I really wanted to do it and asked multiple times that they allow me. I really wanted to play this role."
"firstly, since this is a show filled with emotions, and our main roe is a singer, even when we sing normally, we also have to sing with emotions in our songs. with this practise on normal occasions that have been collectively built up, i have thus managed to take it in. when i am acting, i actually do not think of it as a man liking a man, but the fact that i am greatly moved by this person called yoonjae, and i like this person a lot. that is why acting it out would be relatively easy."
oh and what he's said on body image, when infinite were asked for dieting tips, he basically said that it's better to aim for what's healthy instead of what's skinny, and not to skip any meals or force your body according to what everyone else tells you it should look like ;_;
gd has donated clothes to a charity auction, money to a children's hospital(has also had money donated in his name by fans). he visited and spent time with that little boy who was/is sick who has the same name as him. gave him toys too.
seungri donated 100 sacks of rice to his hometown, gwangju(and is said to do so every year from now on). notably, he runs an academy to train idols. people might see that more as a business investment but i honestly think he means it when he says he does it for the good of it.
daesung does a lot of chruch volunteering. he basically lived at the church and helped volunteer during his "scandal" in 2011. I feel that his trying to make amends with the family of the deceased was admirable.
also there was a little girl who was very sick and she was a huge daesung fan. when daesung heard he visited her in the hospital numerous times. the rest of big bang also made time to visit her. they gave her signed cds and took pictures and even promised her a vip ticket for big show 2011. sadly, she died before the concert.
this is all off the top of my head, any bb anons wanna chip in?
Top holding up a railing so that fans don't get injured during big show 2011 is probably my fave bit of fanservice ever. He constantly kept an eye on them after the railing was fixed as well, telling them to move back and not push.
That fan account of him being asked by a chubby fan to sign an autograph and write that she should lose weight but him writing "you're pretty" instead is also sweet.
And as a group, bigbang donate part of the proceeds of all their concerts. This year's alive tour donation is to the UNICEF vaccination programme. Essentially, every person who bought a ticket paid for the vaccination of one child.
They've all done charitable auctions, photoshoots for various charities etc.
Also, any time you buy anything yg, merchandise, CDs etc., a part of that money goes to yg's with programme that Sean oversees. They donate that money at the end of the year.
Idk if Sean is or was ever considered an idol, but that man is an inspiration.
onew's a good kid? he hasn't done anything exceptional but from what people say, he's thoughtful and accommodating, even at his own expense which is sweet.
You don’t know how other people will accept words you say by mistake. I believe that you can change a life with just one word. If I feel that I’m in the wrong then I apologize no matter what. If I happen to slightly brush past someone on the street I say that I’m sorry first. That’s what my parents taught me to do since I was young. To always greet the security ahjusshi even if I see him several times a day. I think the inner thoughts that I formed as I lived like that have made me who I am.
i love everything he wrote in barcelona photobook. esp when he said he really appreciated other culture and about their host(?) family in barcelona who were a couple who didn't get married but had a bb tgt
top telling netizens and fans to back the fuck off and stop bothering his ex-girlfriend on national television was the moment i fell in love with him.
sunye does a lot of volunteering and charity work. she met her fiancee while volunteering in haiti.
bom asking her manager to apologize to a fan after her accidentally stepped on her toes at the airport was a nice change from the general fan-idol-manager airport interaction.
Beyonce’s music video for ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ in which she has a wedding in lingerie. Why is she so pretty? It made me almost angry because she is so pretty.
