i'd say so, but not as new as the recently-interested-in-sunggyu anon. i left meme for a while and came back in the middle of kfa@dw, and was vaguely interested in their chaser comebcak, but i really got into them from r97 and meme meta.

idk the exact numbers, but it seems like there are a few casual myungyeol anons and some who are really getting into the group because of sunggyu. but idk if are overlapping anons or not

but welcome! hopefully we can find each other on mwm \o/

i think so too! it's really fun to see different anons slowly getting into them because it wasn't that long ago that i experienced the same thing :') i started paying attention to infinite because of a myungyeol fancam of yeol on myungsoo's lap back in kficrev@lj, so i definitely remember how much fun that was.

yup :( the nostalgia keeps me coming back to reminisce about the ~good ol' days~ when in all fairness i know we weren't that great back then lol

lmfao true words, anon u_u i guess most of the excitement back then was the novelty of meme but now it's old and decrepit :'(

yeah :( ficdom was a different place back then too. even if they weren't on meme, everyone seemed to write so much more and took so many more chances with their writing. though i can't really complain, i used to participate in every 15min challenge and now i don't bother if the prompts don't do anything lol u_u contributing to the problem

ugh i really do miss it :( i used to write whatever the hell i wanted before meme but now i feel like i have to adhere to a certain standard (no lapslock, no second person, etc.) and i think some anons afraid to experiment with writing in fear of being wanked on :( i think the general atmosphere of meme made writing for challenges unappealing, what with the lack of responses. i remember when each fic would get at least a "i like this" or something

da but man even when meme was boy-centric in the early days it really wasn't so bad?? as a girl group anon i felt meme was a lot more welcoming back then... up until kfr i guess

we weren't so great, yeah, but these days i rly find myself liking meme lesser and lesser

dda but is it the wank or other things too? as someone not personally invested or involved the wank really guts me :(

for me it's mostly the wank and some of the anons here who think riling other people up is rly fun :(

you don't remember people telling girl group anons to "get out" and to "start our own flop meme"? lmao ofc it wasn't as bad as it is nowadays, but it wasn't all sunshine and roses as a gg anon back then too. i think it was somewhere in wank that girl groups finally had the heat turned off but the latter half of kficrev got really gross again.
