i'm in pretty much the ~center~ of the storm and wind/rain wise it's really not bad at all. we didn't even lose power. the problem is mostly from storm surge... most places on the coast up here aren't equipped/built to handle such a huge amount of water coming in fron the ocean.

center of the storm isn't the worst part though, it's usually the northeast corner iirc that causes the most damage.
