well if you rec something on meme you are opening it up to discussion tbh, all kinds of discussion. and while i agree that meme should be less aggressive in its response to recs, i don't think anons shouldn't be able to critique stuff.

i'm supportive of constructive criticism and appreciate it when anons give them, but for some instances they can get pretty ridic e.g the sydneycarts and timeshaker fics

da but what was the criticism for timeshaker's fic? and ia, i found the sydneycarts criticism ridiculous (especially since it all seemed to settle down to personal preference/sense of humour. ia that she needs to cut down on her run-on sentences but that was the only piece of crit i saw amongst all the "only 12 year olds could find this funny" cmnts and papier-maché discussion)

it's on how she included the color of a furniture or something along that line, just a ridiculous as sydneycarts' papier-maché debate.

it all has to do with how the criticism is framed too lol. i think the anons had some valid points with sydneycarts but they were so sanctimonious and outraged about a tiny craft thing that it was hard to take seriously.
