probably because sm mostly focuses on looks. imo 4minute/other girl groups get tons of skin whitening treatments.

i wouldn't disagree that girl groups get it done, which is why i didn't include them in my examples above. even if the company can't afford it, they'll still make them get it done. it's a double standard but i'm not surprised

girls in most parts of asia really hate dark skin imo (and i'm not trying to be racist or start wank). they're really crazy about skin whitening products.

it's true i'm asian and a girl and i was born darker than usual and my grandmother had me use skin whitening products at 6. growing up my mum never stopped telling me to use sunscreen to stay fair and i really value having fair skin (i'm not as dark as the baby i was lol)

i'm asian but since my family's...a little lucky that we're whiter than the normal standard of our race, i never used any /o\ but other sides of my family are like injecting skin whitening products smh

i've never heard anyone irl use skin whitening injections but I'm fairer than most these days and it makes me really happy ^^

i'll ask my parents' aesthetic doctor about it haha. i had injections under my eye to try to get rid of my undereye circles but it didn't work :( i really love these things even tho i know theyre not that safe idek
