i'm not the anon that made that comment but privileged people are more likely not to recognize their privilege and not realize how offensive they're being. so that's just a generalization

and generalizations are ignorant and potentially offensive and sometimes untrue

maybe you should be looking at why you think it's okay to use ableist language instead of being sad you got called out on it

from privilege? i don't use this as an excuse to be ignorant and rude - what you're saying is offensive to me because i'm surrounded by people that grew up in hardship and worked for generations to have children that could be born into luxury and we're not a bunch of cruel, ignorant oafs

anon, it's not you, it's the system. don't take it personally, but white people, rich people, able-bodied people, etc- you're given an inherent benefit based on these factors. you may not be cruel or ignorant, whatever, but you can't eradicate the advantages you have simply by being a good person.

:c i just feel like people are trying to rationalize hate right now. and no matter who you are or where you come from i feel like that's not okay because the world is hard and cruel enough as it is.

but the world is harder and crueler on some people more than others because of things outside of their control, because of forces from people who are trying to keep themselves in power above them. you can't blame someone for hating when they're being told their second-class.

wait can i ask -

so you're saying it's okay for more privileged people to get irrational, generalized hate from less privileged people just because of circumstance?

didn't you say that white people, rich people, able-bodied people, etc are all privileged in different ways? you essentially just said that it's okay to hate most people just because of the way things are, most things of which cannot be helped

yeah because guess what? being oppressed fucking sucks. and most privileged people hate us people who are less privileged so frankly i don't give a fuck about their feelings.
