it's like when i read their fics i can see a real person wroting them, not just their icon of my bias or something lol. it's like breaking that wall between reader, writer and fic

da but lol i'm like this too. i tend to skip their fic for a while when i've seen pics of the writer, but if the fics good i'll come back after a while

da but lol to an extent i actually do! for some reason i put the author's face on all the characters that aren't mentioned to look different than them

haha that's interesting. what if you meet an author? bc there are author readings at my university all the time, so i go and strike up convos with them all time and i can read their books just fine.

i don't know! until i went to uni i lived in the middle of nowhere, and even now there are pm never author readings (that i can go to at least), so i've never had that possibility and therefore no idea how it'd be to read a book by someone i met ^^

only if their photos are printed on the back covers. if not i wouldn't know how they look like
