omo, anon!!! you have to learn to murder your darlings.
it is actually very liberating to cut huge swaths of a story that isn't going well. because nothing is set in stone, anon. you can wipe the slate clean whenever you want. it's in your power to make your stories better!!
lol, i guess. they're not really my darlings, they're my bacterial spawn so .__. i mean i don't want them to be my darlings, i try as much as possible not to care, hence the sloppiness. but if i care, then i end up driving myself nuts over it. it's not really cutting huge swaths of a story that's daunting, it's taking what's left and tying it all together :\ i really question the idea of having to murder them, though. but yeah, i should really take the effort to at least make them better.
