haha i really loved hero, and so i watched some of no mercy as well as deokspatch (and i plan to watch right now when i get time) so i'm definitely fond of them! i hope starship figures out what to do with them soon, because they're great boys but their concept just isn't working with today's kpop climate ):

da in what way is their concept not working?

da

it comes across to me as a little dated and they don't really have their own color yet?

i see what you mean. i thought the hip-hop(?) thing was still in but maybe it's going out of style? but ia about not having their own color, even though i like their sound i hope they find their niche because i'm curious to see what that might be

da but the original ayrt. yh the anon above basically echoed my sentiments, except i wouldn't say it's dated i'd just say the industry is too oversaturated with tough/hip-hop boy groups and amongst them monsta x don't really stand out? plus i don't really think that concept suits any of them except jooheon and i.m. i mean i really enjoyed rush and hero made me a casual fan but i just think it's so hard to be fresh with the hip-hop concept when they don't bring much new to the table, which is a shame cos i think jooheon/i.m are really capable rappers
