woah i didn't think that saying how i perceive my own writing would incite such passion! it's just how i personally feel and it's exactly like you said about how it's a loose term. my definition of good probably isn't the same as someone elses and i'm not really good at explaining how i view it - unfortunately i'll never be able to give you a straight answer. and i don't feel myself by saying that i'm an average writer is putting myself down lol it's actually the opposite and is helping me to improve myself! maybe i am a backwards thinker, but i'm glad that you have such thoughts on this subject.
the writing resource blogs that i follow are resource blogs in which they explain things about writing. they are great tools lol i've never taken a creative writing class in my life this is new to me :)

i'm just sad that a lot of ppl think that they're bad when they can get a brighter outlook by just adjusting their standards lmao. i think being confident in yourself, even just a little bit, is very important, especially so for the sake of having the strength to keep improving. but if you feel that you have that anyway, then that's great lol.

yes confidence in writing is important and great! but i sort of feel like that comes over time. i think some people who write get discouraged easily when they don't get responses. which yes is sad (more so bc kpop fic doesn't really get a lot of comments in the first place). but if you really enjoy writing and have fun with it you continue on and try to fix your mistakes. lord my first fic was a mess and all over the place it deserves a shelf of it's own. i fixed my flops from that fic and i think my work has improved a lot! you can always start over and try again. i'm not ashamed of my bad work as embarrassing as it is it has taught me something lol hopefully other writers can have a positive mindset

i'm not ashamed of my bad work as embarrassing as it is it has taught me something ita i mean my first fic was more than a mess lmao but looking back, for every fic i improved a bit (a lot, sometimes) so it got me where i am right now. idk if i was confident back then, most importantly i didn't let that stop me lmao and tbh i miss that, i was so carefree and i wrote so much and improved so much and tbh i feel like i have become stagnant. i'm a better writer but i barely write and i'm not getting any further right now. :( lmao i managed to make this both ot and abt me sorry

it's fine anon :) i find it hard to write sometimes myself if i think too much about it or think too much about what people may like. ugh it's such a tough line to walk
