aww, anon i totally get you!! tbh, i only figured out that people considered me to be a good writer because of the meme. i got like maybe six-seven comments on average for my fic and the comments, while positive, were hardly ever substantial. that's always been one of the things i hated about kfic fandom bleh

I always wish I wrote the kind of fics people like to talk about/freak out over, but I write so rarely and I guess people just forget about me?
I've gotten some really nice and positive comments on fics in the past, but I don't get mentioned on meme, so I have no idea if other people consider me good, bad or mediocre. (I really hope I'm not mediocre though ;;)
I wish there were more substantial comments to be had, too! I appreciate any comments I get, as they're so rare, but I always try to leave somewhat substantial comments myself for people!

fandom is pretty quick to forget tbh. kpop fandom in particular is always growing with all the new groups that come out that i couldn't keep up tbh. i've stopped writing and reading, but i check in once in a while lol i can't even remember most of the so-called "BNFs" and goodfic writers of yore...

shinee fic had its golden age huhuhu the dormant shinee stan in me hopes for a renaissance

lol yeah, kfic fandom is quite different now than how it used to be! I guess that's the thing, I'm a slow writer, and I'm not in fandom for any of these new groups. I don't mind, I just get very down about my writing at times though ;;
I've just gotten back into actively writing and reading again after a long break, and a lot has changed over that time! I don't even know where any of the bnfs I used to know might have gone too now.

aw, I wasn't in shinee fandom during it's golden age, so I have a lot of catching up to do! a renaissance would be nice, they just had their big bang, but I don't know how it compares to any in the past!

omg an anon from the yesteryear! hello!!! maybe we knew each other then lol i'm not in fandom for the newer groups either. in fact, i'm not even in fandom at all, really. are there any new era bnfs even? is this concept still used in fandom even lol omg... i sound prehistoric hahaha

maybe i'm biased, but i genuinely think shinee fandom had the best writers back in its heyday :'( what pairings are you into, anon?

lol yes, I am an old anon, hello!! haha I don't know tbh, until I started stanning shinee just this feb, the only groups I ever stanned were suju (and ss501 but they hardly had a fandom even when they were together...) if you weren't in suju fandom, we wouldn't know each other! ;;
have you been taking a break from fandom? or is there just nothing interesting you right now? I took a long break from being active, but with shinee I've started participating again and it feels soooo nice, I missed how talkative and encouraging and fun fandom used to be back in the day ;;
lol I don't know about new bnf's at all tbh!

it seems like they did! (especially when a whole bunch of the sj good writers went over to shinee ;;) i'm mostly into onho and ontae! but I like 2min and minkey too! what about you, or what did you like?

i dabbled in suju fandom! well, i read more than i wrote, but suju fandom was great too :( and LOL ss501 was what got me into kpop fandom weirdly enough, but i moved on when i discovered the fic for them was slim pickings :/

i'm pretty much out of fandom indefinitely. i think about coming back, but i feel such a huge disconnect from the current scene and a lack of motivation to catch myself up again. but yeah i do miss it a lot -- being here makes me miss it lol -- but i don't ever see myself devoting as much time to it as i did before.

i was into jongyu and minkey primarily but i've since warmed up to onho and jongho lol maaan, i miss them ;__; HAHAHA so many feels

oh then we may well have seen each other around! cause I've been in suju fandom for a long time, I have come across many people >> oh wow, really? ss501 were amazing, I'm still so sad they don't promote together anymore, I miss those losers all together ;; the fic offering was reaaaally small, though, sadly ;;

it's very different from how it was! I've found it hard, especially with trying to make friends in shinee fandom now (cause lol, I know no one) making friends and talking to people is so different now! but now that I'm back and writing again, I realised myself how much I missed it. I can't devote as much of my time/energy as I used to, but I think I've found this happy medium of being able to enjoy fandom, and still do other things unrelated to it!

haha oh god it's unfortunate you're not really in fandom then, because jongyu (not in fic so much but in rl) has been making a bit of a comeback! and minkey were amazing in their wonderful day tv eps ;; onho is everywhere too omg, they are so unsubtle lately, it makes my life *~* shinee has been so good lately with all the albums and stuff.

i was the WORST at the social aspect of fandom ahahaha i think the reason i had so few comments on my fic tbh was that i didn't know how to make friends HUHU i still miss fandom a lot though, because i did meet a lot of great, really interesting people.

OMG all of that news excites me so much. tbh i know NOTHING about what's happening with shinee now, but omg jongyu rl resurgence??? what is wonderful day??? IT SOUNDS WONDERFUL LOL anon, i used to stan minkey like nothing else back in the day hahaha

oh really? I knew a lot of people/had quite a few fandom friends back then, but I can't do the same thing now ;; I'm really curious though to know if we might have seen each other around now! making friends is always hard though so I can understand that ;; (comments a lot of the time seem to come from writing popular pairings? and posting on busy comms >>)

omg, well they had two korean albums this year (which is what got me into fandom tbh) and if you still are interested in music I STRONGLY recommend you listen to their misconception albums, they are amazing! (for one perf, their second song consisted of them almost dressing up like policemen, and wearing tall sexy boots, it was amazing!) in June their Japanese album, Boys Meet U came out! (WHICH IS ALSO AMAZING) and right now, or very recently, they were doing their Japan Arena Tour! which is where some jongyu has been somewhat resurrected, from what I've been lead to believe! jongyu actually interacted, and stuff!!!
omg wonderful day (or one fine day) is their latest show! it's all been aired and subbed now but the premise was each of them go off on their own and do their own vacation, and have to sort it all out themselves. IT'S SO GOOD. OMG. and as a minkey fan you'd have loved it, minkey both go to the same place, and basically have a date. against minho's will (but he gives in to key anyway). it's AMAZING.

OH THANK GOODNESS. I can't help it, I'm wordy and I just like to talk ;; (can you tell I don't have many people to talk to shinee about? I have so much in me and so few ways and people to get the words out too and discuss things with ;;)

I am REALLY sorry, I have googled but everything is on youtube or other streaming sites, no one is uploading it! but if you want to watch on your harddrive, have you tried realplayer? you can download videos from youtube then and save them wherever you like! I think that might be a good thing! you mentioned how much you miss it! and you don't have to devote a lot of time if you just want to maybe catch up on some of the shows, and the music you might have missed? and if you want more it will flow from there! or something!
