da i'm a writer that liked cheapfeels and wishes she hadn't quit before getting to my fic. i'm glad she ended when she did though.

i'm a writer but on in exo fandom. but i remember a lot of my writer friends were bemused by her presence/ignored her for the most part. but some people i know were also legit hurt by it. idk how i'd feel tbh.

idt anything crossed the line. but for authors not used to blunt/criticism, i can def see why it'd be jarring.

da i think people who don't visit anonmemes and don't see or know about discussions that occur regarding their fics in memes it can be jarring to get crit out of nowhere?

it's a completely different thing coming from a beta than from some anon who's out to dismiss ppl tho. if you're not hurt by it then more power to you, but ig we all have different lines

i go on anonmeme, and i was def cut by cheapfeels comments on my runandgun. esp since i worked for rly long on it, and i can't say i was completely proud of the outcome, but it definitely took a lot of work. so her one line diss on it definitely hurt for me. idc if that makes me uncool or something.

i'm sorry that it hurt anon but idk i mean that's nothing personal, she has no idea about the work it took to get there which unfortunately has no bearing on how the fic turns out

i def understand that, and i'm open to constructive crit. but i think when i see someone burn my fic in one line dismissively and move on, i can't help but feel hurt?

da i think cheapfeels is definitely one of those things where you know what you're going to get. that being said, idg why some anons were wanking on authors for being upset/hurt over it. like it's really gr8 if they aren't, but if they are then what's wrong with that?
