how's everyone doing today~~~?
a well done expansion of the original drabble. i enjoyed how the scenes weren't in chronological order. it felt well planned and wasn't confusing like a lot of attempts to do similarly end up feeling. i like how tao is less whiny than in the original, it feels more realistic. i like the tiny details about sehun and chanyeol growing up together. pretty damn good, and i wish the remixer hadn't included the whiny author's note because it wasn't needed.
why on earth is the romanization of names so varied, or rather Himchan is done one way while the rest are JunHong, JongUp, YongGuk, ect.? the inconsistency is distracting right from the start. the story itself was okay. the writing is pretty good, but the kissing at the end felt rushed/forced. i don't really buy that they'd kiss after they spoke for the first time. the idea of yonggook as himchan's bodyguard is pretty hot though, and the story was pretty cute.
i admit that fics like this don't do much for me. i'm not into overly flowery and metaphorical writing in my fanfiction. the writing was good, though the author mentioned they kept a lot of the original words which has me skeptical. i would be interested to know how similar it is to the original, so anyone feel free to fill me in. once i read the remix i honestly didn't want to read the original because i'm not a fan of the style. i honestly can't say much about this one but i'm sure plenty of people who are into this kind of writing will like it.
