kidfic as in idols have kids or idols as kids? maybe it's because i spend a lot of time in western fandoms where it's popular but i've never seen it as a bad thing
and also bec kidfic most often means ridicly fluffy & simpleminded things where 10yo's speak like 3yo's & can't pronouce r & it's all gross nicknames that end with "-ie" instead of actually getting into a 10yo's head and respectfully writing the world from their perspective, which can actually be pretty interesting if done right
glam is jointly managed under bighit and source ent., so it's likely they haven't interacted much/aren't in the same building? esp bc i think the girl and boy trainees are possibly segregated
j-hope featured on jo kwon's solo, and iirc they all attended 2am's concerts or something and tweeted about it. there's been a few selcas too, and most recently when jinwoon was mcing a music show with a hurt leg, bts was clustered around him and kind of attempted to help him off stage
i didn't know it was something frowned upon or anything but in general i think kidfic tends to be written in a really shallow way? i like sap but kidfic of any sort tends to go for the most obvious and superficial flavour of sap. it's just a lot of typically 'cute' things tossed together and it just doesn't leave me feeling much of anything.
i like kidfic and i don't think it's a bad thing. i could see if you had no interest in kids or having a family with kids than yeah it could be a thing to avoid. also, sometimes i guess it can be written in an annoying way if it's written too simple?? i like kid fic with reality in it that is true to a kid's developmental stage. a little research or first hand experience goes a long way
i'd never hate you for that anon dw. i did actually read a book that was partially narrated from a 5yo's perspective, and it was really interesting. he had a crush of some sorts on another little boy but it was never spelled out like that since he would probably never put it like that himself, it was all showing how he was drawn to this other boy and wanted to play with him and that he obviously found him more important that any of the other kids, very subtle but still very sweet. and the author handled his way of interacting with adults very well, it was very believable.
i wish i could find software that was free and also a giant colorful brain mapping thing for my computer so i didn't have to write everything down on paper bc while that can be entertaining i can't copy paste paper to laptop
