the pairings seem to be the same ones even when you backtrack. not enough variety, especially considering the crossover appeal and even with the popular groups its always the same idols being written for. idk, i would like to see more fics that didn't involve yoona, seohyun, changmin, etc

da and i'm wading through unniefic to collect gen/friendship fic and femslash for an anon, and those are the same het pairings that i keep coming across. D: it doesn't help that it's the same three or four writers writing those fics, either.

the characterizations are so bland too especially when it's from the same few writers too, i'm glad i'm not the only one who saw this D= it's such a shame because i gave up unniefic as well, the gen fic and even femslash there is so limited T___T

i think you're the anon i'm talking to below, whoops! /o\ but yeah, i'm not opposed to het, but the het scene in kfandom seems to be absolutely dominated by the same pairings (yoona/changmin, seohyun/yonghwa, krystal/minho, etc.) and the same writers. it makes me feel bad for het shippers who don't get fic. :( if you like gen and femslash, it seems like group-specific communities are the way to go.
