their success is definitely going to depend on marketing. in the past few months there have been a number of rookie groups that have been going out and doing their own thing and not really doing the traditional promo activities. and sure maybe they aren't selling tons, but some rookies banded together and held a successful mini concert. crayon pop has managed to sell out their first concert in Japan. a prince is going on a European tour (well really only eastern Europe where they are oddly popular) and i know several people who have bought all of the a prince sub unit singles.

so, all that was really to say they might not be hugely popular but if they are managed decently its popular for them to find some semblance of success

crayon pop's marketing is actually terribly interesting, i didn't really pay attention to them in the beginning but i am intrigued.

I'm also really fascinated by crayon pop's marketing. I also didn't give them much thought when they debuted but they've done a really good job of putting things up on youtube. and I love the street performances they do. and I secretly love the tracksuits
