da but beast is one of the most popular groups with the general public, bap are liked 100000x more than exo/nu'est, and infinite is really the last popular rookie boy group

beast is rn but their wins at the awards shows have been met with a LOT of resistance, and infinite is the last popular rookie boy group but i'd attribute that more to marketing/branding > persistent comebacks. and idk about bap lol anyway the anon below me has a better example with fx. do you think that exo would do better if they had several comebacks this year?

resistance from who?
but i don't think exo could do any better even if they had more comebacks. their performances are mediocre, at best, and overall pale when compared to bap

da but in the case of bap they are liked because of superior performance quality. they've been better liked since debut. I wouldn't say they won their edge through non-stop promos

lol if only that was the way the idol world worked

it's not always the case but if you're talking about popularity with the general public in korea being legit, or perceived as legit, tends to play a role these days
