it’s not that i have a vendetta against them i just don’t appreciate the characterizations and pairings that the lj users typically write because they don’t match my preferences. that’s basically it. the problem lies with me, not them, if you want to put it that way. what i feel when i visit livejournal equates to something akin to the feeling of taking a dive into sea of hipsters who use too many flowery metaphors and swanky poetic plot lines that drip a little bit of underlying sexism and i’d just rather not, you know? of course, i’m generalizing the lj community a lot here (bad anna), and i do try to prove myself wrong by taking trips to lj every now and then in the hopes of finding something i’ll like (i try really, really hard), but then i get slapped in the face with stuff i don’t like which enforces the stereotypes i previously established.
(on top of that i’ve also been unfortunate enough to get ignored by the sempais on lj that i’ve tried to profess my love for (repeatedly), so i suppose i’ve gotten a little vibe of ‘fuck off peasant’, if you will.)
you know what, i’m actually trying to think of friends i have who are lj authors and it only boils down to about two or three, who are complete darlings, by the way. but obviously, i don’t have dislike anyone for what they write, because it doesn’t define them as a person in any way. though i may disagree with some of their preferences, they can write whatever the hell they want to as long as they don’t make me read it (lol). and then i’ll keep on writing my super-weird-gross stories too and we can all be on our merry way :’)
personally i just prefer asianfanfics as a writing platform because the people in general are really easy to talk to (they’re usually young and inexperienced) and i can roll around in all the submissive luhan i want without any fear of position switching and i can even filter out the pairings i’d rather not see which makes me a happy camper (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
so i guess my main point is: shoutout to satan for making me dislike so many things you sneaky little fucker ur killing my fun
