i hate when people try to project traits onto idols that they want to see in them. so like they find aegyo stupid so they say their bias hates it too, or they don't like a person so they claim their bias doesn't like them either. it's so transparent and stupid.

projection is early on a slippery slope towards author-insertion.

i wasn't even thinking about writing so much as people who are all "oh look ____ hates their life lol" when that's not accurate, but it definitely happens in writing.
