ohhhhhhh did you do spin states? stern gerlach? it was so weird bc we did our first quantum course entirely with spin states and with bra-ket dirac notation and basic orthogonality and operator stuff and derive the wave function at the end, and then almost 2 years later we start with the wave function and it's just like why didn't we do this first
i'm actually not taking the quantum physics as a course but just one unit in basic physics so we're doing the theory part with the atomic model and such. but we just derived the wave funtion in class today and i was so lost lol.
i think they also do that in chemistry and i was just like "...poor them" bc quantum is definitely one of those things that takes a lot of time for things to sink in. so don't feel bad about being lost, anon! as feynman said, "i think i can safely say that no one understand quantum mechanics" :p
...man. so the atomic model (hydrogen atom) was basically the last unit of quantum 2 for us. and it still left tons of us feeling lost. so yeah, don't feel too bad |D
