it'd depend on the tone of the apology but probably yes. i don't think it's worth writing off someone forever bc they said something problematic... almost everyone is going to be racist/sexist/homophobic/whatever at some point in their lifetime, and i don't understand why you'd keep hating someone who learns, acknowledges their wrongdoing, and is genuinely sorry for saying it in the first place.
