het fic goes against the spirit of an exchange about girls

hmmm i see where you're coming from but i think exchange just wants some girl fic, and the worry is that just girl group pairings might not have enough interest in them? hetfic is pretty under-represented in kfic too

maybe but lbr most hetfic is self insert or glorifies boys while bringing down girls

i think it depends on the kind of hetfic you find. if you stay away from aff, most hetfic i've read actually focuses more on the girls than the boys.

da but um wow generalisation much? i don't read a lot of hetfic but the ones i've read are very nice and thoughtful in regards to both male and female characters. why couldn't that be the case for the exchange fics too?

wow so anons can generalize that all mental illness fic is bad but we can't do the same for het? bc so far my experience has shown khet fic is horrible

in a fandom where girls are written about so little in any way, i think it's really nice to open up to het. afaik participants can ask for femslash only or even request to write femslash only. i don't see how this is a problem.

i'm not going to write off hetfic like that before anyone even writes it. i know kficdom is not known for it's positive portrayal of girls in hetfic but i'd like to think that they wouldn't join a girl group exchange if they didn't give a shit.

someone tried to sign up with all boy pairings...

they were probably confused? everybody else wants femslash.

except everything indicates its a girl group exchange doesn't seem that confusing
