any hong kong anons here? i might go there to complete a masters degree and i was wondering how's life there, especially for a westerner not speaking a word of chinese? and just idk, is it a good place to live as a uni student, etc ;~~~;

not a hk anon but i had a friend who went there to study a year abroad and when i asked her about it, she said everyone looked so sad lmao.

as a westerner not speaking chinese, i think it'd be pretty hard for you, ngl. while most people can speak english, i'm always under the impression most of them prefer to speak in cantonese(/mandarin).

da i think living there would be relatively manageable. there are certain areas in hk where expats like to congregate.
