wait is it actually really offensive to complain about water tasting differently in a different country?? :s

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
i complain about it all the time
even in a different city, same country the water sometimes tastes different idk

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
+1 depending on how its filtered its going to taste different

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
+1, different brands of bottled water taste really different too

i cannot stand aquafina, i think it is disgusting and i complain about it all the time lol

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
ugh +100000000 to bottled water, ngl if i need a bottle for whatever reason i buy a brand i don't like the taste of, empty it and fill it with water from home lmao

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
making an observation about it is one thing. complaining is another

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
so... it's ok for me to say that it tastes really different, but even if i find it tastes worse i shouldn't complain?? :s

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
i've never heard of it but then again there are many things i've never heard of

but like water can taste different within a fucking city and if i don't like the taste i'm damn well going to complain

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
meme opens my eyes to so many things i never ever ever knew were offensive

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
that anon and maybe not offensive, but insensitive. like is it really neccesary to bring it up and blog about it but if anons see it as more of an oppar didn't mean it then it doesn't really matter. also anons seem to feel the same way and take the same viewpoint about it, so

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
i think you're being unnecessary.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
well.... ig i don't see it as an "oppa didn't mean it" thing but something i honestly don't find offensive at all? i mean, i think it'd be really insensitive if he went on a variety show and straight up complained about a different country's water, or if he said smth like that in an interview in that foreign country

but in a blog post it's... like standard blog feelings?

+1

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
blogs are for your complaints

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
idk i hold idols as public figures so they can't do the same things as a normal person and get away with it. it's all about image and i didn't think that was a good pr move, no matter how innocent any comment or action is (like dating scandals)

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
wow then i guess we really really really differ on how we see idols and their image

how mad are you at iu?

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
i thought it was a really stupid move but i don't really listen to her songs or watch her on shows so it doesn't matter at all to me. but i don't think it's wrong for the public to get angry at her and eunhyuk: not because she's a female idol and the double standards involved, but because she's an idol and she should have known better because being an idol is only what, 15% about the music? the rest is image. this is what differs between her scandal and hara's - hara wasn't an idol when the photos came out, which means what she did was what a 17 y/o did, not what an idol did. and that makes the difference to me

but that doesn't make it an offensive thing to say.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
i corrected myself and said it's insensitive, not offensive

i can legit only drink very few brands of water lol some of my friends are like me and complain whenever we travel the others just look at us and go "jfc it's all just water, drink" and i'm like "b-but the taste is different ;~;"

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
lol yes i get side-eyed but idgaf

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
i complain and then i drink the water lol. it has only happened to me once that another country's water has tasted better that was refreshing

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
it depends on how you complain i guess. it can seem like such a "first-world problem".

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
yes

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
idk but i never complain tho it tastes diff. i mean, who should u complain to? if it tastes groce, i just don't drink it and buy other brands. thank goodness i have low tolerance at water. even tap water still tastes good to me (italia's tho, not america's)

(Anonymous) 2012-11-21 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
da but lol idky but it's mostly bottled water i have a problem with, tap water tastes fine to me but tbf i live in the british countryside, i've tasted london's tap water and it does taste kinda different but still ok, but when it comes to bottled water i won't drink 8 out of 10 brands or smth
