what makes something a bad pairing in your eyes? (anon calling krisyeol and lukai "such bad pairings" got me wondering)

ones where people obviously have no connection. like if someone seriously shipped jongyu right now, i would politely ask them for some of whatever they are on.

oh, i thought you meant it was somehow a bad thing to keep shipping a pairing that's "dead". ia it would be weird for someone to get into jongyu now.

i called them bad pairings just because i don't like them. i don't think that objectively they're bad pairings, it's just that their dynamic doesn't appeal to me and i'd rather read about other pairings.

but overall, a pairing i don't like is just one that consistently doesn't click with me. there's some pairings that don't bother me even though i don't ship them but there's a certain degree of frustration with others bc i can't get into them and it's what's popular at the moment.

i don't mind any pairing as long as the shipper is realistic about it. don't tell me ur otp is real when they don't even talk to each other irl
