lol anon, even myungsoo has no idea what was going on and he was in the mv...

apparently the accepted explanation is that the love story you see is all in myungsoo's head. the "60 seconds" refers to how he only needed 60 seconds to fall in love with the girl, but he also sees that they'll only end up breaking up. so he leaves the coffee shop without trying anything, and gives her the ring as a momento (??? idk) and when she ~looks into his eyes~ she ends up seeing the alternate reality where they get together and break up too, hence her tears.

and then once they both realize that they were doomed to break up, the clock zooms back to the alternate reality where myungsoo DID make a move, where he caught her under his umbrella and they walk away happy. but that's not actually real, hence:

myungsoo saw the girl, fell for her, imagined exactly how their relationship would play out in his head within 60sec which apparently created this alternative time line where that all actually happens. he sees that it ends in a break-up, so he gives up without a fight and leaves the ring for the girl. when the girl touches it and looks at him, she sees the imagined relationship too (?). and the ending is the parallel between "what if" they got together vs myungsoo staying alone. or something.
