so apparently british english spells practice with an s when it's used as a verb, but otherwise I'M GETTING SO IRRITATED reading "practise" in so many fics and defiantly used instead of definitely omg i'm so pressed u__u maybe it's that time of the month idk

(Anonymous) 2012-11-19 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
UGH DEFIANTLY 8(

(Anonymous) 2012-11-19 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
i will not apologise for my rampant s usage in verbs! but defiantly is just bad, i'd be pressed too.

i should've guessed. the first words were "SNEAK PEAK" and then it described a dick as a velvety length

british spelling is nothing to get annoyed at but actual misspellings, yes.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-19 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
ah i learned about the british spelling thing just now. looked it up just in case

(Anonymous) 2012-11-19 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
my brow furrows every time i see judgement from a non-british english user

(Anonymous) 2012-11-19 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
lol

(Anonymous) 2012-11-19 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
i'm not judging! i had to look up the practice vs. practise, bc in the back of my head i felt like this was a real possibility and it turned out to be one. but apparently only in the case of verbs!

(Anonymous) 2012-11-19 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
lol oh no i'm right with you! judgment/judgement is the spelling difference that makes me irrationally annoyed. judgement isn't a real word unless you're a british english speaker, is what i mean.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-19 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
oh lmao major misunderstanding. ah, the joys of language
