i called them bad pairings just because i don't like them. i don't think that objectively they're bad pairings, it's just that their dynamic doesn't appeal to me and i'd rather read about other pairings.

but overall, a pairing i don't like is just one that consistently doesn't click with me. there's some pairings that don't bother me even though i don't ship them but there's a certain degree of frustration with others bc i can't get into them and it's what's popular at the moment.
