weakest link? idk how i think about that, i'm pretty big on the baeksoo ship actually, and i've never thought about dynamics before, but i can understand what you mean. i think what makes baeksoo for me is how mutual they are with each other; you don't really notice them, bc they're subtle? they're all about stolen glances and light flirtations, so i guess krisbaeksoo would work out in that sense. everything would be so mutual and genuine..imo, lol, with exo i kind of feel like i'm making things up most of the time

sobs, i really like them lots ;; i'm always crying about how there's no decent taoris fic. but i just can't stop adoring them♥
omg same here, i seriously trawl aff at least once a week looking for something to read ;~; but they're so cute and look so good together.
i don't have as much time now and i always recoil when they're depicted too out of character (or maybe it's my headcanon??). i feel like even though their dynamic seems to be rather easy-going, teasing and build upon affection/fondness of the other, it's so hard to write for some reason?
the seoulfulness fill anon above linked was fun, though, i really liked that one! they were one of my first ships, i refuse to let go of them and yes they look good together and seem very close, so ;~;

cries yes he is kind of dumb and a bit tryhard but honestly those are qualities i find really endearing? he really is a simple guy who happens to be a total sweetheart and man i adore that everyone's basically reduced to puppies around him ;~; i see why they'd be that way though ;~; (also i know this isn't a popular sentiment but i do find him kind of attractive as well haha, mostly lately though)
sometimes chen really reminds me of seungri?? that asshole-y i'm-going-to-drag-everyone-down humour and making jokes at everyone's expense lmao ;; seriously though i love him and his wit and god yes he's quite capable of playing everyone.
thinking about all of this makes krischen all the more amusing lmfao god exploring their relationship would be such fun ;;
anon that's okay you can pop your writing cherry with this one?? ;_; sobs chen would be perfect ("they've fooled around before" ahhhh magic words) and him trying to set them up would be so great sobs even as he made snarky comments about kris's crush ;_; chanyeol would try helping from baekhyun's side maybe especially since him/kris and him/chen are bros and he'd be such an utter flop ;_;
he'd know how to get others to let loose exactly!!! i think he lacks inhibitions when it comes to making friends with other people and that helps a lot and he'd make people really comfortable around him! ehehe you know sehun liked being slapped by his hyung... a lot (seriously though they have the super qtest dongsaeng-hyung relationship ;;)

i've struggled myself to write them too. i'm not sure what it is about them but i find it kind of hard to ~capture~ them in a way that goes beyond the surface level. lol does that even make sense? /o\

yes, i guess i get what you mean! i'm not much of a writer, but i've thought about it and idk i feel like one would have to actually get how tao works/thinks first of all, bc he's..so different? and yet his character seems to be steady and consistent at the same time? which makes everything as a while so complex ;~; BUT I ENCOURAGE YOU TO WRITE THEM, ANON!! ;__; i will cling onto you and offer you cake!!
