i woke up and saw blood on the sheet and the first thing i thought was that something had broken inside of me lol ;;

i remember knowing what it was but being ridiculously horrified. i think i was mostly concerned with 'what if someone sees D:!!!' even though i was still home and the only one that would have seen was my mom.

i was at home when i first got it so i just went to my mum and told her i had blood in my pants and then she showed me how to use a pad. no fussing whatsoever.

we got educated pretty early about this stuff (year 5) and i had been getting that yellow/clear discharge for a while so i wasn't really concerned tbh. i seem to have missed that freak out that all girls have when they get their period for the first time.

tmi but i got my period the morning when i awoke to find someone i trusted sexually molesting me, and thought he'd cut me or smth :( took a while to realize it was my period, and then i just felt disgusted and wondered if it came before or after and if he'd noticed
