yeah i was kind of confused by that anon's wording as well, but i was thinking maybe they meant like to the general japanese public? i'm sure japanese fans who were vips already/into kpop in general might've wholeheartedly welcomed their japan promotions but i'm not that familiar w/ what the reaction is like to any kpop act to the rest of the public there. isn't there some sort of backlash to the hallyu wave that other anons were talking about in the past couple of parts?

I think seungri may have fixed some of that and helped to get big bang's image out there this year. he was on every fucking show ever for three months and even had his own show on space shower tv.

oh this is probably true! but yeah i always hesitate to make any blanket statements about how korea or japan respond to any group bc like... idk shit about it, and i have a pretty tenuous grasp at best w/ how ifandom tends to respond to things and i'm technically in it, so u__u
