i think it's more the age thing, if anything. i'm esl myself and i think we make up for it with extra attention towards spelling/grammar etc. good writing is often more about good storytelling anyway, at least imo :)

lol so the hint of pressage rising within me wasn't unlegitimate? i'm so deep into english that i barely use my native language anymore so i might not be the best example but if you're really into writing in this language, then it doesn't matter which language you grew up with.

i don't think so. i mean god there's a ton of non-native english speakers who write famous books, it's not that outrageous to think esl speakers could write good fic lol
