sigh, so much of my fandom past revolved around the 2pm/jay scandal :( it really forced me to realize how invested i'd become in a kpop group, and made me so cynical about group relations... i'm surprised i'm still here tbh

lol you are me :( there are few things in kpop that have devastated me as much as taec's initial reaction to jay's leaving

mm quickest summary: jaytaec were bffs, everyone always banked on their ~super real friendship~, then jay left, taec refused to mention jay's name after they won for heartbeat or in interviews or on tv or even acknowledge that jay was in 2pm, and everyone thought that he'd thrown jay under the bus

then feb rolled around and then it looked like he really did, bc of certain things he said about jay

but my jaytaec heart lives on because a few years later he said that jay leaving 2pm was the worst thing to ever happen to him, and it came to light that jype was trying to use jay's scandal as a promotion technique (hence the 1:59pm album and a lot of 2pm's comments, which taec refused to participate in). and when they were trying to promote through jay's scandal, taec started talking about jay again and yelled "this is for you, jay!" at the end of the daejuns just before his mic cut off. so. \o/

oh anon :( i remember skipping a lecture so i could follow 2od's live tweets on the press conference, and the disbelief when they couldn't slip in a single word in support or defense of jay -- that's when it finally hit me

my fandom friends and i had a kind of support group going on at the time and we had so much hope riding on that conference, so when it went the way it did...

you are me anon. before 2pm i was in the big bang fandom but the time i had w the 2pm fandom was dramatic tbh. for about 6 months every days of my life involved of just studying and jay/2pm

sobs i was in bb fandom originally too! fell into 2pm around idol army/before again&again and the rest was such a roller coaster ride... it was right when i started college too so ig it was especially memorable
