today starts with sunggyu and hyoan discussing their schedules in the living room, their voices hushed but loud enough to wake sungyeol up from his room. he hadn't slept well anyway; dongwoo had a nightmare and he groaned all night, waking sungyeol up every few hours or so and he'd been too exhausted to even get dongwoo to stop. hyoan is going through sungyeol's auditions, something for a romantic comedy move and something for a slice-of-life serial that's slated to run for six months or so. he wants myungsoo to go with him, in case sungyeol gets rejected. myungsoo will audition anyway, but there's a small chance he'll get the role.
smaller than sungyeol's? sunggyu asks, and sungyeol's stomach sinks and that's when sungyeol feels it, that familiar thing, crawling onto his chest
it's almost like an insect, but it's nothing he recognizes from reality, with sharp, sectioned legs and a glistening torso made of clicking sections that never stop shifting, dark dark eyes like glass and an inhuman mouth with too many parts, opened, gaping, hungry, sits on his chest and stares at him. its legs press against sungyeol's neck, it's large, larger than any insect he's ever seen. the size of a small torpedo, ticking away some agitated rhythm against itself, against sungyeol's skin.
it moves over sungyeol's body, pressing into his legs, his belly, his arms before stopping at his neck, the mouth poised over the thin skin of his throat, clicking, whirring, thinking thinking thinking
hyoan says, probably not, and the insect bites down
sungyeol's body convulses, and he tries to pull the thing off his neck but it's already gone, but the sensation is still there, the wet, sharp, feeling of something ripping his throat out and he can't scratch the feeling away, can't get the sensation off his skin
dongwoo wakes up to sungyeol ripping at his throat, the skin red and raw from his nails and shouts for their managers, for sunggyu, who wake sungyeol up and remind him that he was just dreaming, he's fine now, when he was never asleep in the first place
it's in its draft draft draft form lol :( i've been reading too much junji ito lately
