i deeply disagree with your use of the term "common-sense law." can you elaborate on it?

ideas about the right to having one's personal property protected and carrying anything sharp around in public wouldn't be considered safe - things that are pretty much black and white. the knife case is clearcut without the association with culture because it only gets debatable once people say it's because of culture. if not, any person carrying a knife in public would be frowned upon
