slightly ot but this makes me think of timeZ, which i'm sure anons haven't even heard of or are following but i'm really interested in them. not as a group, but what they're trying to do to the kpop market.

they're a kpop group created by a chinese company and cjm media and there are 4 chinese members and 2 korean members. they're a kpop group because they trained in korea and debuted on mcd this week but they performed in mandarin. they're supposed to release a korean version of that song but no date has been set for this and i have no idea how they're supposed to market a kpop group whose debut song is in mandarin

i asked this on meme before but no one answered. glad you hear someone's also interested about them! i'm also confused as to why they debuted in korea with a chinese song, because who are they basically targeting when the audience can't understand/they're trying to reach out to mainland. their company is cje&m though so they might not flop.

i clicked on their teasers because they looked interesting and i like the leader's face (lol) but i'm more interested in their motives/marketing techniques so i'll talk to you about them, anon! i'm actually surprised the korean ministry allowed them to do so because doesn't kpop have to be in, well, korean?

that's what i thought so too but look at jyp and sme. even they have groups they cannot save :/

(Anonymous) 2012-10-20 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
who is jyp and sme failing to save?

i don't keep up with them /o\

jj project for jyp. idk sme well - their old girl group? the one with stephanie? also fx is doing fine now (i think) but they're definitely not up to par with what an sme group is supposed to be netting in in terms of success, right?
