idk about now, but they used to be really silly and goofballs with each other - that sense of casual playfulness is what i really adored about them. :( i would link to gifs of them (circa 2008/2009) being ridiculously skinshippy and eye-sexing but most of my old links went down...
ANYWAY. under all their antics, I feel that Sooyoung is very much the giving type - she's very caring and sensitive under her variety circuit persona, and I could see her being very supportive of Yuri when she needs it. And it's kind of perfect because Yuri seems to thrive best on attention, while Sooyoung is so willing to give it and play along with Yuri's dumbassery in this mocking "yah you fool waylt- fine c'mere and let's be dumbasses together" way.

i can totally imagine soori being like that given their personalties. i was so clouded by all these other pairings before that i somehow overlooked soori but i'm reappreciating them now. ty for sharing all your soori feels.

It does! Sooyoung has the right mix of being sensitive and loud and she ... I get the feeling that she and Yuri just click and understand each other - I think it started off with them having the same sense of humour (http://mi-chyeo.tumblr.com/post/9737442235/ oh look here it is) and they just gravitated towards each other. I shipped them hardest in 2008/2009 and YulSic pretty much dominated the Yuri ships, but I think SooRi felt a lot more genuine (lol YulSic will forever be contrived to me) and there's just this sense of being really comfortable with one another. Their dynamic is just so playful in this upsettingly sexy way and ugh irresistible OTP.
