do day6 anons think junhyeok's departure is not what they're claiming it is? ie. he got kicked out like knetz are claiming

idk jyp does have a history of letting people go of their own accord before their contracts were up (hyuna and her health issues, sunmi and her... homesickness?), but then there's always the jay park scenario to consider...

the gf thing only sounds petty if you don't take into account how she was releasing info about where the band was gonna be (which is basically setting the table for sasaengs) in addition to releasing her chats with him which portrayed him as the one coming on to her, and it sounds like kfans were turning their backs on him because of the trouble she was causing which wouldn't be as bad if day6 had a traditional fanbase to fall back on

da tbf to the gf idt she was releasing any info that could actually lead to sasaeng stalking... just stuff about official schedules, or what songs they were gonna perform on a radio show

personally i think it's most likely he left of his own accord. he always seemed rly affected by fan backlash and he was getting so much harassment over the fact he dated a fan. i think in the end it was really just that he didn't think he was cut out for life has a celebrity and didn't want to go through it anymore. if jyp let sunmi out of the wonder girls because she wanted it, i'm pretty sure they'd have let junhyeok esp since he isn't an idol

that said, idt it's impossible he got kicked out either since he basically had no kfans left and from the dms with his gf it rly sounded like he was breaching a contract clause or something? and he's been waiting such a long time to debut it seems like a rly rash decision... but again, knowing how sensitive he is and the fact the celebrity life can get really exhausting and just isn't for everyone, i'm leaning more towards it being the former

the whole situation is so messy that i'd almost prefer to believe the theory that junhyeok wasn't handling the idol life well and already wanted to leave, the backlash from this just pushed him over the edge

because obviously i don't want to think he was miserable lol, but getting kicked out for a really dumb scandal like this if he didn't want to leave seems worse. jyp has let group members leave before in circumstances where they were unhappy or unhealthy so idk. dating a fan is still really sketch though, and so are those messages released, especially the one about taking something to court? but honestly are we really sure those messages are completely real...
