idk the last big exo ficdom drama i remember is latinaeinstein demanding longer comments from her readers on her fic and people calling her out, some nicely and some...not so nicely, which ended in her deleting her journal because someone threatened to doxx her

sa in regards to your question about exchanges, it got to the level where the mod of exo's lj comm made a post telling people to stop doing them lmao and then she started talking about giving kids sleeping pills or something. idr the context behind that comment tho

i have mixed feelings about how that went down because, on one hand, she did have a point, that it's a good idea to leave authors comments and let them know that they're doing okay and to encourage them but how she went about it was really... mean and rude. aggressive even? she didn't deserve to feel threatened, but she was literally trying to guilt trip people into commenting on mainly her fics when she was already a writer who was getting a bunch of comments compared to a lot of the fandom?
