why host it on dw if neither the fics nor polls will be there?? they might as well have done it on lj instead since you anyway need an lj account to vote

yeah i really don't get the dw hosting.
but i think it's because at first they didn't consider posting ao3 and thus chose dw to allow longer works to be posted in one entry. but then they decided to do all posting on ao3 sooooo...
