i agree with their sentiment but i think some of them are taking it a bit too far

semi ot but i was thinking about this the other day and i ended up thinking about de-aging fics. say i'm 24 and my oppar is also 24 but i write sexual fic where he is 17. is this just as bad as writing fic about an actual 17 year old or is it different somehow? i'm not sure how i feel about it so i'd like to hear anons' opinions

well i don't think writing fic about a 17 year old is honestly that bad. i'm less obsessed with age and more with how people actually look. i've seen irl 15 year olds that look to be in their early 20s. and 20 year olds that look fucking 12.

see i think one reason i find myself baffled about this being an argument is that i tend to have a pretty firm mental divide over real person idol and character idol so for me aging down an idol is the same as aging down anyone else. and no one seems to ever have the same problem with high school fic or predebut v/jimin that they do with protecting underage idols.

because this specific brand of moral outrage didn't exist two years ago, and now you have people saying when he turns 18 it still doesn't count because reasons. they have to move the goalposts to support their high horse.
