Jinki frowned, leaning in closer, because that last image, a moment ago all the characters had been facing each other, looking as if they were shouting in celebration as Jonghyun held the bottle of champagne up. But now, it was as if Jonghyun was staring out of the page at Jinki.

Chanshik was born in the spring, on a lukewarm August night some rough twenty years ago. “You’re a spring child,” his mother always says when she’s proud of him. “You brought summer with you. I never had to let you go hungry. That’s why you’re so strong and handsome and good. Spring children are always strong.” He remembers the summer. For a child his age it was never-ending. He knew, but didn’t understand, what was to come. That for every never-ending summer is an equally never-ending winter. That for every year when the sun circles around and around in the sky and never dips below the horizon, there are equally many months of darkness.

And Taehyung straightens back up, finds himself standing way too close to not notice—to not notice the way Jungkook’s lashes look under the light, the way his mouth curves soft, the way his gaze bores into Taehyung as if questioning, wondering what he’s about to do.

Terrifyingly quick, the pace of his heart runs, the complete opposite of the kiss he presses to Jungkook’s lips. Another breath, and another pause, and Taehyung’s hands are sliding up to splay gently across the sides of Jungkook’s neck, thumbing along the line of his jaw, even as Jungkook lets out the softest of sounds. He doesn’t pull away, though. He doesn’t push Taehyung away.

Tugging away, barely tugging away, Taehyung nudges their noses together, and observes the way Jungkook’s eyes open, tiny blinks. “You look so pretty like this,” says Taehyung softly, and Jungkook’s mouth falls open slightly, breath hitching, “can I kiss you again, Jungkookie?”

Taehyun has a tattoo that says "JEAN MICHEL BASQUIAT". It's the kind of tattoo that Minho would never get himself, but that is perfect on someone else. He's sat through countless sessions watching Jiho's choices in body art get progressively more Lil Wayne-esque. ("No one takes you seriously when you're Asian," Jiho told him once, crumpling his napkin on the table at McDonald's after a show.)

anon, this makes me beam because i adore winner and i also love mino, so i'd love to see more of this! i've always enjoyed fic that include block b/mino interactions and the mention of jiho makes me smile :)

maybe i'll work on it for their debut ;___; i used to follow block b and now i want to go back and see all the clips of mino interacting with them too.

this is hypothetically part of a full fic but i'll probably never get around to writing it:

They send Minwoo off on a Tuesday. Chanyong hadn't meant to cry, just like he doesn't mean to end up in the bottom bunk of their bed, face against Minwoo's pillow. It's not as though he came here to, like, sniff his pillow or anything (it smells like nice cologne- Chanyong still wears body spray if he bothers with any at all) - it's just that he's too lazy to climb into his own bunk and no one's here this time to kick him out.

He falls asleep there and wakes up to someone laughing. Jonghwan, toothbrush hanging out of his mouth, angling his phone down to take a picture. Chanyong blinks up at him. "What are you doing?"

"You look so cute," Jonghwan says around his toothbrush. "I'm going to send this to hyung's email."

"I'm going to punch you in the dick," Chanyong says, and rolls over.

Jonghwan's foot nudges him between the shoulder blades. "You have to get up, we're leaving in a half hour."

There's a crick in Chanyong's neck when he forces himself out of bed. This, he thinks, is also Minwoo's fault, for leaving.

You don't understand a lot of things, Jiho thinks, but doesn't say, because it's not Hyunho he's mad at. It's not even Byungjoo he's mad at, or Hansol. He's mad at the universe.

pairing centric /o\ it was the result of thinking about how xero and hansol called themselves best friends predebut and seemed rly close but then hanjoo took off as the fanservice couple and thinking about how xero would feel about that and and and yeah....

squeals a little bc xero-centric(?) fic? makes me so interested and happy (bc bias..) but this does sound like an interesting rlship to pick up on and write about indeed ;o; i never paid much attention to xero and hansol being best friends predebut either, and when i think of hansol out of topp dogg i only ever wonder about his friendship with evol's say

omg anon i literally knew close to nothing about these two predebut and now my heart is GUSHING

THEY'RE SO CUTE and they still have cute moments now but there was a point where they noticeably cooled off and hanjoo became even grosser so it makes for great fic fodder.

“I can explain,” Dongwoon has his hands raised in the air and some weird green dude has a very large weapon shoved in his back. There are two more goons that just make grunting noises and threateningly hold similar weapons. He’s not exactly sure what they do but he knows it’ll probably hurt, a lot.

Okay so he also doesn’t really know why he’s being aimed at (what else is new?), but he knows he can talk his way out of it. He always does. First step, try and figure out what he did to piss them off. That’s actually a lot easier said than done. Dongwoon pisses people off before he even gets out of bed, on a good morning.
