are there any ikon anons here who ship jinhwan/junhwe? what do you guys find to be the appeal of it? i feel like it's really popular for a non-golden trio pairing, and i think it's cute (their date was adorable), but i never really got why it seems to get a lot more fic than other cute pairings. not hating, just intrigued
they aren't my otp but i do really like them! i'm ngl tho, it's mostly because of the height difference

final round of didntknowaboutseouldout. in light of drabble vs. ficlet discussion it's interesting that for the final round they went exactly 100 words, where at least in the last round of seouldout the final round had the longest word count i think. tbh i don't think either entry did what a drabble in exactly 100 words is supposed to do. thoughts?
i think the first one pulled it off (tho tbh it wasn't quite the quality i'd expect from the final round of a competition like this) but the second one... wtf happened there. i usually encourage experimenting with style but there still needs to be content and some kind of punch at the end and idt this had that at all. also even with something as short as 100 words you can play with the tempo and rhythm and the format restricted that a lot so it just comes out sort of... flat. plus imo spending a third of your wc on format is maybe not a great choice when you have so little to work with and the goal is to make every word count
vixx anons! who in your opinion, are the best writers in your fandom?
one of my fave's gulpsofoxygen/canttakeabreath, just for the n/leo 'show me how your bones shake' (but that fic is locked now). tbh it's hard to point at a vixx writer i can wholeheartedly rec as most of the fic out there doesn't ring true to me characterization-wise. recently though i've been enjoying renquise's fics

gdi, i always end up liking those pairings that i didn't like at all first and then i've to backtrack months of fics
i couldn't get into her vampire au at all which is a sad thing because there's lots of it. she's an ok writer from what i read, but her version of vixx just doesn't jive with what's in my head so i'm more comfortable taking it as an orig fic.

i wasn't a fan of the dbsk or bts fic posted. the dbsk one i didn't like the writing, and the bts started off like it'd be good, but it just failed to deliver to me. i really liked the n-centric fic though, even though it dragged sometimes
