good for you anon! tho i wished readers like that would leave a kudos or something, tho i understand some might find it anxiety-inducing. it's just ridic the lengths i go to just to find some validation
it's been forever and a day since i wrote fic and i've started a new one and now i'm the most nervous person ever... T_T any got7 anons about? could use some support, haha!!
idk about everybody but i know for me and the other infinite writers i know, we all started around 2012 (post-qp if you want to count that as a milestone) and we just got tired after about 2 years of writing for them (which seems to be the average fandom lifespan/attention span for a few writers) and there haven't been a lot of new writers to replace us
i'm kinda sad dreamwidth didn't manage to kick off as the new kpop writing hub, and ao3 is getting more momentum. i loved the community aspect of livejournal, and dreamwidth was a great alternative when lj started fucking up
is there anyone here who wouldn't mind to be a beta for me? i feel like all my friends aren't being that critical of my work because they're my friends and are afraid to be critical of me/offend me so my improvement is suffering as a result
we could both use socks (i'm planning on using a sock for my newer work anyways) if privacy was an issue
the anon concrit meme is doing well, i feel like there's more specific/detailed concrit being given this time around for more people compared to the last ones lol i hope i don't jinx it u__u
while i think it could be an aff thing that definitely reminds me of the days i spent on ff.net, maybe it could be a rather oddly worded way of saying that that the writer could expand more on the plot they were writing about? or that the reader got invested and would like to read more.
for a recent exchange i thought less about "skill" and more about what do i think the recipient will be satisfied with reading? for instance i write in a really stark no-plot style and there are some prompts that this will just not suit/not everybody wants to read this or "should" read this. this does require as much judging of people's writing as the "skill" thing but imo part of matching people up for exchanges is not just algorithm "can this person write these pairings and avoid these squicks" but also "will this person be able to make something out of this prompt"
i wish this place was more popular bc i hate all the other memes but i can't seem to quit meme lurking when i'm bored. kfic needs to be more active in general!!!
y'know, in the earlier iterations of meme, we weren't restricted to only talking about fic... maybe some irl talk would liven this place up? what are anons up to this summer?
any recs from winnerexchange? i'm kind of passively into winner but i'm wondering if good fics will get me into them, since i tend to join fandoms through ficdom
i haven't read everything yet but there's been a lot that i've enjoyed! with the caveat that i haven't been hugely impressed by winner ficdom overall before this exchange.
jinwoo/seunghoon sex hotline au mino/taehyun/jinwoo road trip au space bounty hunters au taehyun/mino, they adopt a kitten seunghoon/seungyoon set in 1986 busan, just go with it seunghoon/seungyoon, seungyoon is a retired model and starts a site like humans of new york
hi meme~ i've been wanting to change up my planning/plotting style with fic, and i was wondering how and if anons prepare for and plot their fics before writing?
