da, but in my mind fanfiction is a labour of love, and i think a lot of people write fics for fun and/or for the sake of the community only. they probably don't need (or want) to be told their fics suck, even if they do, because they are not writing seriously.

but people who want to write seriously and improve their writing will often ask for crit.
